WHS Fashion Club Takes on Blogspot!

by 6:30 AM

Coming to YOU soon!
I've been away for a while, I know! If you must know this summer I did a lot of traveling and spending so much time with friends and family, I'm so sorry about not keeping up... BUT, I am back and better than ever. I have been getting so many questions and advice as in to starting up this blog again and your wishes are my command. I am so proud to see how many people have seriously kept up with me this past year! With some help of my fellow classmates and friends we are trying to make a difference in our school system as well as our generation. (Looking for some help from everyone that can!) This blog will not just be ran by me, but also by the other main members of the fashion club! Each post will be signed with our first and last initials to identify ourselves just for our own/your acknowledgement! So yes, a little bit of a change, but change is harmless! Let's start this new journey and I cant wait to bring you all with us!

For WHS students
This upcoming week we are FINALLY starting up the club that everyone was questioning last year! By the end of this week, our bulletin board will be ready for everyone to look at to get extra information! Our bulletin board is located on the right, right before the little theater. Stay tuned!
What is it?
The Fashion Club is not just going to be about what someone had on that day. We are looking to do some clothing drives whether it's for the poor or just for people in need. Each of us want to bring a glimpse of fashion into Waldwick High School and integrate this club with the students of WHS. We will be doing looks of the week to incorporate/get each of the students involved and something to be proud of!
How do you sign up?
Everyone and anyone is welcomed! There will be an interest meeting soon and just show up! (The actual date will be announced on our bulletin board as well as sometime this week!)

People express themselves in many different ways... Ours just happens to be with our clothes! Lets make it happen!

Benefit Cosmetics

Hello my favorite people!
What have you all been up to? I am so excited to share some news with you guys about what I have been up to!
It's been a while, I know.. I am so sorry! I have been sooo busy with family and traveling and school and all of these other activities, I honestly do not get enough time to just sit down for two hours and watch a movie or something in that nature (I need a movie night)!
So all of last week I had family from the Dominican Republic come over and stay at my house. We went to what it felt like everywhere and back. I was at the beach one day and the next I would appear in the city.
I had lots of cute outfits and I didn't share any of them.. (Sad face) I'm a horrible person.
BUT this week, I actually have a lot of different outfits planned for you that I will be posting and sharing with you all. Promised!

Now enough with my "begging for forgiveness" and onto the real reason I am reaching out to you all!
So while in New York, I made some lovely new purchases in a store you all know, Sephora.
I had been looking for a new concealer and mascara for so long and finally found my perfect match! This guy, John that works at Sephora saved my life because I truly walked into the store not knowing what brand to buy. He stopped me like an angel sent from heaven and pointed to the concealer called Boiing and right next to it was the big and bold mascara called Roller Lash! (picture of appearance below)

I have tried so many different mascaras and I have never seen anything like this! Instead of a regular mascara brush, this is mostly a comb so it separates each lash into luscious long lashes! There is honestly no need for an eye lash curler!!
I, for sure, 100% recommend these products to all of you! I will be trying different products each month and sharing with you all my opinion. (Perhaps a giveaway???)
The Nars little box that I had on the first picture is a little "birthday gift" from Sephora, but first you must sign up to be a member which is a simple pen and paper, writing down your email. Once your birthday comes (or in my case if it passed already in the last 5 months), they send you a little present like that one, it's really cute!

I hope you guys enjoyed reading about my experience and hopefully will be running into a Sephora store soon to get your lashes back on track and sending your dark spots away for the day!

PS: I hyper linked the products for you for easier access to find on the stores website!

Xoxo

Promposals

by 6:39 PM
Promposals are getting bigger and more creative every year. This year Waldwick High School students have been extremely excited for the 2015 prom! Whether picking out the perfect dress or having your dream date, this night is about sharing memories together as a class and with your loved ones.
From announcements on the loud speaker to writing prom in a pizza box, it is no surprise that certain approaches have started to catch on across the country.

Here are some promposals from students in WHS and surrounding towns:

Samantha Schatz got asked by Peter John with this beautiful ring! (The bear was a nice touch)

"Will you glow to prom with me?" Liz Sullivan got asked by Mike Salmonese! Looks like a lot of effort which makes it even more special, way to go Mike!

A very special dinner for these two love birds and on the same night of their one year! Congrats guys! Veronica Panetale got asked by Brett Calderone.. Our fellow MP peers! (Food is always the way to go, yummy!)

There is never a problem with switching up the roles and having the girl ask the boy! Candy is sweet and this was sweeter! Great thinking Carly!

"We were out to dinner last Friday night at this restaurant called Bottagra and I had no idea it was happening. The waiter came over to the table with the plate and said I had to say yes to this (he was holding it up so I couldn't see) and I obviously said yes! They were powdered zeppolies with a Nutella chocolate sauce in the middle!" -Alexandra Figliuolo got asked by John Fulco (this was so cute!)

Whether your date goes all out or takes a more low-key approach have fun this year and make it ever lasting! Seniors: I hope this year has been going perfectly and I know that all of you will look great! Have a perfect time at prom everyone and here is to class of 2015!

HBD. (part 2)

by 5:38 PM

February 19th was the day I was born and a day to thank my parents for bringing me into this world.

Last night, I went to dinner with a bunch of my friends. family friends, and of course family. The place was called Waterside in North Bergen and let me just say that I could not have imagined this place to be any better! The food was on point, every single piece of it.
This place is right off the water and you get this amazing city view right from where you are sitting. Even with the snow that was everywhere on the ground, the view was still spectacular. I could only imagine how much nicer this place would be in the summer.
I would totally recommend Waterside to everyone especially if you like sea food, it was delicious

So anyways as promised, I told you all I would make a post on my outfit for the dinner and here it is:

My parents got a limo for my friends and I to get the restaurant and it was the biggest surprise and totally unexpected! (Thanks mom and dad!)

Cheers to another year, another age!

Not This Year

by 2:15 PM

Happy Friday!
Hope everyone's week has been fantastic and can get super excited right now because it is finally Friday and finally time for the weekend. Yesterday was a pretty special day: It was my birthday!! I wanted to show you guys my outfit, but I refuse to because I am going out to dinner tomorrow night and I rather share with you all that outfit instead of the one from yesterday that I wore to school! So just bare with me and hold off for tomorrow's outfit! It's worth the save, I promise.

Can you guys believe that this same time last year I was in California? Well, sadly not this year... Wish I could travel for ever birthday! It does make me sad because the weather here is 3 degrees and in Cali I'm sure it's in the 80's, but this year I am excited for what is to come this weekend!

Now, instead of me ranting about how cold it is and sob over the fact that I am not in California right now, here was my outfit of the day!

These pants were perfect for today because I had a few tests at school happening and since they fit a little bit baggy I wasn't uncomfortable whats-so-ever! This shirt is actually from Francesca's: It's loose and light, maybe not so appropriate for the weather, but with my little pink furry jacket, it was perfect! Comfortable is definitely the appropriate word for this outfit!
