Night Out Outfit Details!

Black & Yellow? No. Black & Pink

All black affair in Orlando...

Do you guys know how hard it is for me to pack?? I thought I had my bag packed like 4 days prior to this vacation and of course last minute I had to make my bag smaller and I hadn't tried on my outfits so I re-made like 4 out of the 10 outfits I brought for a 5 day trip. I hate traveling with so many bags and these airport companies have made it soo hard for people like ME to travel ANYWHERE! Can you tell I'm pissed? I'm going to stop talking about it now because you probably get my point, but I had to let that out.

This is one of the outfits that I had switched up. It is a black button down with a all black skirt. I combined the two and made it into a dress. I tucked one side of the button down into the skirt and the other side I tucked it above the skirt. Does that make sense? There's this dress on Pretty Little Thing that looks just like this in white and I was playing around with how I wanted to style these two pieces which ended up causing a light bulb.

click on that link to see what I'm talking about. My invention gives you that vibe right? Quick and easy fit! My sunglasses are from Aldo (2 for $25 - get on it!). As soon as I saw them I fell in love with them, I can't wait for you guys to see the other pair I bought. I put a headband on to give it that "AS IF" look (Clueless - for those who don't know. If still don't know... watch that movie, DUH). My hair is so short (it's actually growing) and I'm always putting in extensions or bundles or wigs and I just let my hair be yesterday. I pulled it to the back though, so you can't see how short it is, oop.

My shoes are Steve Madden, I got them in February for my birthday and they really are so comfortable. I wish I remembered the name of the shoe to tell you, but I really don't. DM me or comment if you want to know and I'll personally look it up for you.

Finally, my purse. I told you guys you would be seeing it more and more. It's my fav bag! Look at my previous post to know where it's from.

I'm in Florida with my family for my little sisters 5th birthday! It's TODAY, everybody wish my koko a happy birthday!!!

I love you like no other. You think you're so grown, missy... speaking to me like you're 21 and have sooo much sas in that tiny body and I can never really be mad. I mean look who your sister is lol. Not a day goes by that you don't put a smile on my face. I hope today and everyday is just as magical as you see Disney. All you kept saying yesterday was "I'm so lucky" and truthfully, we're the lucky ones to have YOU! I love you buttercup, you have my heart!

We will be in Disney World all day today going from park to park to celebrate her life and I'm so excited for it.

I was fortunate enough to get this t-shirt sent to me by Lawrence about a week ago and I am soo obsessed. This t-shirt is so versatile to the point that I had about 7 different outfits to pick from.

Lawrence has sent me a couple of items from his collection and is so great to work with. He stays on top of everything, gives you a deadline, and updates you on every move. Sometimes, it's so hard to work with people and he has made it so easy. I have been working with him from some time now and the quality of his merch is impeccable. I hope you guys check him out because he is truly an angel.

The outfit that I ended up picking has so much detail to it... I had a blast coming up with this one. Between the colors and patterns alone, I felt like I was back.

I went to a small brunch at Mamajuana Cafe with my family for my grandmas birthday.

At Mamajuana Cafe, they have a buffet style brunch and let me tell you I think I gained about 10 pounds just looking at the food. The restaurant has hookah, drinks, lots of space to dance, a bar, DJ, and indoor as well as out door seating. We personally sat inside to not have to walk too far to get our 100th plate of food (we're lazy, I know), but walked outside after for some pictures.

The blazer I am wearing is from another fabulous company called @dejahmillena on IG. This company was a blast to work with as well. She sent me three different pieces all at once and we did a collab together which you can see on her Instagram as well as mine! (@kalynrodriguezz). I was sent a bathing suit, leather pants, and this blazer. I have a Youtube video in the works titled 3 different ways to wear this blazer and I have 2 looks already. Before I posted it I wanted to have all 3 outfits on my insta to see your reaction to each. I also wanted to know your opinion on whether you guys would like a video or just a blog post with pictures on the outfit. I have made a poll on Instagram where you can vote so right after reading this, pleaseeeee go vote!! You can also express yourself on the comments here. I am open to new ideas as well so it would be my pleasure to hear from you!

Told you, my plate was huge! Overall we had a really nice brunch and were able to celebrate the life of my grandma all together as a family. Super blessed. She had such a good time and got so surprised when the workers came out with the birthday banner, music, and cake. The smile on her face was priceless!

An unexpected night out turned into a blog post (and a cute insta pic).

So I finally have a hang of my camera again and I've been bringing it with me literally everywhere I go. In my head it's just like, you never know, you know? I've had this camera for a while now maybe like 3/4 years and I used to use it for my blog back then, but once IPhones started to take over my life, I pretty much just threw it to the side. Nevertheless, just like I told you guys that I would be back, the Camera is back too. It just makes everything look so much better.

I actually threw on this outfit super last minute and I have a thing where I hate showing my arms or just showing too much. "Huh?"... Let me explain: if my legs are out then my arms will be covered. Vis-versa. This is also why I don't really like summer because I just never know what to wear. Shorts and a little top? ugh, boringgggggggg!! Fall is coming and the little chilly nights are my fav.

Personally this outfit wasn't all that, but I had to document this night, just because I got to meet so many different people, made a few connections, and of course had my friends with me.

We went to Le Souk in NYC, which is like a home to me. Everyone that works there is like family. Every time I go I feel like I meet one extra person. Celebs come out all the time. It's normally a restaurant during the day, but at night it turns into the total opposite. Mondays and Wednesday are probably the 'IT' days for me. I know, I know.. "On a Monday? Really Kalyn?" YES!! On a Monday. It gets super packed actually, the city is just filled with people, what can I say? This Past Monday, Young M.A was there, it was what we call "lit". Great times with great people!

KayStyles - New & Improved

Oh here we are.. Once again. It's so good to finally see you back!

That is what this blog should be telling me, not me telling you. Well, hey... maybe it's actually both of us.

Nevertheless, I am BACK!!! This has taken me such a long time to get my head on straight and really realize that I actually hold so much talent.

I have sat here for weeks, months, even a whole year just telling myself that I wasn't going to make it with fashion. But what is an exact definition for: FASHION. It is what you make it. Does not have to be styling runway models in the clothes you sewed.

Downside was that even the simple posts I make on Instagram I still did not think it was enough.

BUT, with all the support I have been getting and even just the voice in my head realizing that I have made it this far, it has inspired me to come back. These past couple months have been so hard on me with finding myself again and getting back up on me feet. Throughout this time, I've noticed that no one has it fully together. Like at all.

We should be working to improve ourselves everyday. Nothing should be good enough and we should always want more. So here I am, taking a leap of faith into my passion.

For those who have been following my journey since 2013... I LOVE YOU and I AM SORRY (you had to see me at such awkward stages in my life lol)

For those who are new, feel free to wander into the life of Kalyn since she was 14 years old. Please keep all negative comments to yourself, I was a bit awkward, okay? I get it! This blog is old and I was actually going to make a brand new one, but a little birdy told me this shows improvement and frankly, birdy is not wrong. There are some pretty heartfelt moments in this blog and I am not ashamed to still have it up. You will see some of my ups and downs, embrace it and enjoy it!

Plus, it's almost Fall and what better way to start it then coming back onto my blog?!

I usually take 35774647 pictures anyways to just post one on Instagram, so here I'll be able to post maybe 7 out of the 35774647 pictures. You guys will get to see more details and get personal with me.

You can comment on here too, ask as many questions as you want. This is also going to help me with starting my Youtube back up which I know soo many people have been asking for. HEY! One step at a time though, don't judge me.

Another thing you guys should know is that my blog is... fun. It's not all about being so proper and page 7 on Vogue. This is almost like being my best friend, me sending you all the pics I just took so you can pic 2 I can post, and we sit to chit chat all day. You get me? This is a safe zone for me. Not all about fashion either. I drop albums I like, people I am inspired by, Instagrams I am in love with, makeup, sneakers, stores I shop at, experiences I have had, all of the above!

I really am so excited for this journey with you guys! This is the same Kalyn, but just an improved version. I think you'll like her.

This is to new beginnings, new friendships, new connections, networking, styling, songs I blast and can't get out my head, new adventures, and more! CHEERS!
